When looking at the average picture, you usually see something happy and  cheerful. With my figurative photo work, I want to go the opposite direction. I have my models tell me their worst day of their life. It ranges from ex girlfriends breaking up, dead dogs, losing mothers or fathers, to family situations. Though when you first see these models in person, you do not see their sadness or tears. It can take a lot to let someone in and show their feelings. I use the alt-processing cyanotype because it really helps bring out the emotion that I seek. While putting the chemicals onto the paper, I use the brush strokes to my advantage. It is my main focus to use the brush strokes to allow the viewer take a second look at what is going on in the photo.
